KS1 Assessments and Scaled Scores
In 2016 Pupils in Y2 will no longer be assessed using National Curriculum levels instead reading, writing and maths will be Teacher Assessed across 4 categories – working towards the expected standard, at the expected standard, at greater depth within the expected standard and those that do not meet the ‘working towards’ standard. These Teacher Assessments will be submitted by 30th June 2016.
In addition new compulsory KS1 tests have been introduced for reading, maths and GPS but there is no longer a test for writing. These tests will be taken during May and used to inform the Teacher Assessments. The test raw scores will be converted into scaled scores using conversion tables issued by the DfE on 3rd June 2016.
Although not directly comparable to the old national curriculum levels the DfE have indicated that the national standard (100 scale score) will roughly equate to an old L2B.
We are offering a full KS1 reporting service as well as training in the use of the data, further details are here.
