Phonics Results 2017
The phonics results for 2017 show more than 4 in 5 pupils (81%) met the expected standard in the phonics screening check at the end of year 1 in 2017, a 1 percentage point increase from 2016. By the end of year 2, more than 9 in 10 pupils (92%) met the standard, an 11 percentage point increase since the end of year 1.
