Floor Targets 2017

KS2 Floor targets were confirmed last week and can be found in the “Primary school accountability in 2017” document. They remain the same as last year. To be above the floor a school must:

• have 65%+ of pupils at the expected standard in reading, writing and maths; or
• achieve Value Added scores better than -5 in reading and maths and -7 in writing

So it is an either/or but if based on the progress measures all 3 must be better than their floors.

The KS4 Floor Target continues to be measured by the Progress 8 measure and as in 2016 is set at -0.5.

An explanation of the Progress 8 calculation can be found here.
